Where as Vikas Adams' narration can carry a 3 star book to 4-4.5, Luke Daniels brings a 5 star book to a 4-3.5. I've been able to suffer through good books that have him narrating it, but that's the thing. we're going from the second best narrator I've ever heard, and absolute vocal chameleon, to one of the most bland, tritone, B/C-list narrators. As if it's not enough of a taboo to switch narrators mid series. Then I saw Luke Daniels was narrating this one. When I saw Divine Dungeon 5 on pre-order on Audible, I was so excited. I can only listen to audiobooks due to an eye disease. The duo of Dakota + Vikas is literary perfection. But the reason it stole my heart is not just because of the book, but the narrator. Ritualist for example is my favorite audiobook of all time, knocking Malazan Book of the Fallen out of it's #1 position. His voices and personality fit Dakota's writing style so perfect. Vikas Adams is audiobook narrator demi-god.
